RubikHaus is a new benchmark in energy efficient and ecologically sustainable housing. RubikHaus is a set of house designs that have been optimised for energy efficiency and performance using Passive House principles. RubikHaus is precision fabricated in a factory, using a Passive House Certified construction system and assembled onsite by a team of skilled craftsmen focused on delivering the highest quality homes.
RubikHaus has standardised Passive House to make high performance and quality homes available to all Australians. RubikHaus has been developed by CarbonLite and Thrive Places and is part of a broader initiative to transform the housing sector and business in general to become climate and nature positive.

Healthy – RubikHaus provides a controlled indoor environment using Heat Recovery Ventilation. Air is filtered using microfilters removing any pollens or air pollution that might cause harm.
Comfortable – RubikHaus is precision fabricated to specific designs and greatest attention to detail has been taken to ensure that the thermal envelope of the home is entirely sealed. retaining all heat or coolth, maintaining the ultimate comfort for occupants, as desired.
Energy Efficient – The Passive House energy efficiency standard is equivalent to 8.5 stars on the National Housing Energy Rating Scheme (NatHERS). Energy efficient lights and appliance are standard.
Sustainable Homes – RubikHaus is designed and built for an ecologically sustainable future. Precision manufacturing in the carbon neutral factory enables minimal waste. The thermal performance enables ultra-low consumption of energy for heating and cooling; any energy that is used in the home comes from the PV and battery installation; if there is surplus energy this is returned to the grid (dependent on occupant behaviour).
Nature Positive – In terms of addressing the biodiversity impacts of the land consumption, and the embodied impacts of the materials and building products the RubikHaus includes, CarbonLite has conserved ten times the amount of land in Australia on behalf of the home with Thrive Places, and is also working with the supply chain to decarbonise for a Net Zero 2050. RubikHaus is certified as a Green Star Home by the Green Building Council of Australia, and can be certified to the Passive House standard
Resilient – RubikHaus’s are built on land that has been selected to be safe, with limited exposure to natural hazard events. RubikHaus is also designed to be resilient to the more frequent and intense natural hazards in our climate changed present and future. A RubikHaus will protect you and your family in the weather extremes and enable you to be the best you can be as we transition into an ecologically sustainable future.
The RubikHaus attracts a preferential rate of mortgage from both the Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Bank Australia by being certified as a Green Star Home.
